Membership of this group is primarily for U3A members who do not have broadband internet access at home.
Our new U3A Magazine is published 5 times a year, coincident with U3A Association Meetings, and is only available as a download, direct from our U3A website. Members without broadband internet access will find downloading the Magazine impractical due to their slow internet access speed.
As an alternative to using the internet to download copies of the our U3A Magazine, members of this Group will receive each issue of the U3A Magazine preloaded on a computer “memory stick”. These ‘sticks’ will be available for collection at each Association Meeting and are extremely easy to use. Detailed instructions on how to use them will be issued to each member as required. When you get home you pop it into the USB port on your computer and either read the magazine on your screen or print a copy to read at your leisure.
At the next Association Meeting exchange your ‘stick’ for another, preloaded with the latest issue. Members need not personally attend the Association Meeting and may ask another member to return the memory stick and collect the next on their behalf.
