NEW MEMBERS.

You are now members of the Costa Brava U3A. It is time for you to decide which of the following groups interest you and you would like to join. The group coordinator describes the activities and other important information on their group page so have a look. Once you decide which groups you would like to join please email the coordinators. This is very easy to do as on each group page, just under the coordinator contact details there is an envelope,

click on it and an email will open for you to complete to request group membership. You will need to do this for each group you would like to join. This email goes directly to the coordinator and contains all your contact details.

LOCAL INTEREST 2013

The group meets monthly, on the fourth Wednesday, to explore towns, museums and areas of interest.

We co-ordinate the ideas and suggestions put forward by the members, who in turn, plan and organise the monthly events, including of course a menu del dia lunch!

Our events are usually restricted to 25 members, in line with other groups, which we feel to be a sufficient number to shepherd around towns, museums and for making reservations in restaurants.

Our programme for 2013 was unveiled at the planning meeting in January and is:-

January    - Annual planning meeting

February - Guided tour of Torroella de Montgri

March      - Coach trip to CRAM in Barcelona - sea animal welfare centre

April        - Guided tour of Monells and Corca

May        - Visit to Fundacion Mona - chimps welfare centre

June        - Guided tour of Besalu and Bueda.

July          - Guided tour of Belcaire.

August      - Guided tour of La Bisbal castle and the Ceramic Museum

September - Coach tour to Tautavel to see Tautavel Man

October     - Guided tour of Palau Sator and St Juia de Boada

November  - Visit to Palamos Fish Museum

December - Christmas day do no event
